Empowered teams are central to organisational change and achieving strategic goals. Whether teams are homogenous or diverse, they tend to face unique skill and knowledge challenges, further influenced by team psychological dynamics. The 90-day project cycle keeps teams on track, supported by skilled facilitators addressing the knowledge and practice gaps. The Distribution Logistics Kaizen – 90 Day Program unfolds in three phases to foster operational excellence and continuous improvement across logistics teams.
Stage 1 focuses on building awareness and forming focused study groups to initiate engagement.
Stage 2 transitions into active on-site sessions where teams are oriented toward improvement projects and encouraged to share ideas.
Stage 3 culminates in a review of implemented improvements and recognition of achievements, reinforcing a culture of learning and collaboration. Together, these stages empower logistics professionals to identify, analyze, and solve operational challenges with lasting impact.
This initial phase is designed to build foundational understanding and enthusiasm among logistics teams. It begins with an awareness session that introduces the principles of Kaizen and the goals of the 90-day program. Following this, focused study groups are formed within logistics teams to encourage collaborative learning and targeted exploration of operational challenges. These groups serve as the nucleus for identifying improvement opportunities and preparing for hands-on activities in later stages.
During this phase, the program moves into active engagement at logistics sites. Teams participate in three structured sessions conducted on-site, which are designed to orient them toward specific improvement projects. These sessions facilitate project orientation, helping teams understand the scope, objectives, and expected outcomes of their initiatives. A key component of this stage is the sharing of improvement ideas, where teams begin to propose actionable solutions based on their observations and collaborative discussions.
The final stage focuses on evaluating the progress and impact of the improvement initiatives. Teams review improvement cases, analyzing the effectiveness of their solutions and identifying lessons learned. This reflective process is key for reinforcing Kaizen principles and sustaining momentum. The stage culminates in achievement recognition, where successful teams and individuals are acknowledged for their contributions to operational excellence, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
